Dear Parents and Visitors,

The motto of Camden High School is "Commitment to Excellence." The faculty, staff, and students of our school take this commitment seriously in all phases of what we do. 

In the spring of 2014 we were recognized as the high school winner of the Palmetto's Finest award.  This honor was the result of persistence and perseverance  by our students, staff and community.

We encourage parents and community to show support to Camden High by attending school programs and extra-curricular events.  The Bulldog Calendar on the home page provides important dates.

Bulldog Bulletins

Congratulations to our Academic Quiz Bowl Team! They were victorious against North Central and Lugoff-Elgin last night and will be GOING TO STATE!!

DeSaussure will host its annual Dodgeball Tournament to benefit Make-A-Wish this Friday at 6 in the gym.  Tickets are $3 in advance or $5 at the door.  See any DeSaussure member or Mrs. McGee to purchase your tickets.  Please come out and support this great cause and help make a child’s wish come true.  DeSaussure members should remember to pick up their tickets from

You got game? Prove it. Camden High will be hosting its first annual 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament on Wednesday March 25th  in the CHS gym. We will have two brackets, one of which will be co-ed. The cost to participate in the tournament is $25 per team. Sign-ups will be in the gym with Coach McKie. See Coach McKie or Coach Jeffcoat for more information about rules and requirements. Let March Madness begin.

Prom signup will be held the week of March 23rd through 27th.  If you would like to bring a guest who is not a CHS student you must complete the Guest Approval form and return it to the Front Office.   Guest approval forms and prom guidelines are available in the front office and in the library. All guest forms must be turned in by Wednesday, March 18th. 

Ashley-Tri-Hi-Y will meet in room 212 today at 3:15.  Please plan to attend.

National Honor Society will meet in the lecture hall today at 3:30.

Attention Varsity Cheerleaders: You need to turn  in your uniform and pink poms to Mills if you have not already returned them.

Camden Track and Field will host the CHS Invitational on Saturday. 

The word of the day is writhe which means to twist the body about, or squirm as in pain.  The sentence of the day was written by Dymear Atkinson a member of the SAT verbal team.  Dymear wrote, “She lay on the floor, writhing in pain.”


PALMETTO GIRLS STATE INFORMATION

Girls who are interested in applying for Palmetto Girls’ State should see Mrs. Dew for an application and for more information.  Applications are due Friday, March 6th to Mrs. Dew.  Palmetto Girls State will be held this summer during the week of June 7-13 at Presbyterian College in Clinton.

Attention Students: Validation deadline is May 1st. All students in grades 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th, must complete all validation hours (including hours from previous school years) by May 1st. Validation is held every Wednesday and Thursday after school from 3:15 to 5:15
Mrs. Timmons’ room (Room 202).
Students will be expected to complete validation packets and
work on current school work while completing hours.

We have posted an alphabetical list of the Class of 2015 on the board outside of Guidance. If you are planning to graduate on May 30, 2015, please check the board to be sure your name is included. If you cannot find your name, or your name is spelled incorrectly, PLEASE see Mrs. Dew immediately to report the inaccuracy.

Go by the Library to sign the Senior Signature sheet.

TOP DOGS
This recognition is given to a student group who has made important contributions
to the success of Camden High.
The Beta Club and National Honor Society have been selected as Top Dogs  for their dedication
to various school and community projects.
 Beta Club sponsors the
 Can We Can Dan Food Drive (collected over 2,000 cans) each year
and participates in the Toys for Toys program.
National Honor Society recently raised $3,000 by sponsoring a Volleyball Tournament
for Rob's Best Friend Fund which is an organization that provides service dogs to military veterans.
Members of both Beta Club and National Honor Society are required
to complete a minimum number of service hours each year. 

The groups who are selected as Top Dogs receive an ice cream party.
