From the Principal

Dear Parents and Visitors,

The motto of Camden High School is "Commitment to Excellence." The faculty, staff, and students of our school take this commitment seriously in all phases of what we do.

In the spring of 2014 we were recognized as the high school winner of the Palmetto's Finest award.  This honor was the result of persistence and perseverance  by our students, staff and community.

We encourage parents and community to show support to Camden High by attending school programs and extra-curricular events.  The Bulldog Calendar on the home page provides important dates.

With Bulldog Pride,
Daniel H. Matthews
Principal, Camden High School

Bulldog Bulletins

There will be a Key Club meeting on Tuesday to elect officers for next year and for any prospective members.Key Club is the largest school service club in America and membership in the club looks very good on a college application.  Meetings are in Coach Speaks' room 507.

Attention students who are planning on taking AP US History next year:  If you did not receive information for next year you must attend the mandatory meeting during SSR on Tuesday in the Library.  Again, this meeting is mandatory to attend. This information is crucial to your understandings of the expectations of the class.  This announcement is especially important to students who were not in Mrs. Jeffcoat’s  Honors World History classes this semester.

There will be a brief meeting in the gym after school on Wednesday, May 27 for any student interested in boys varsity basketball summer league.

Varsity cheerleaders have a mandatory fitting and meeting today (Friday) at 3:30 in the gym.

Seniors need to turn their locks in to Mrs. Wood by today or they will be put on the indebted list.

The word of the day is unequivocal which means leaving no doubt; unambiguous.  The sentence of the day was written by Sergio Johnson, a member of the SAT Verbal team. Sergio wrote, “Louise’s opinions were unequivocal when speaking about the suspect’s guilt, who was once a convicted felon.”
