Dear Parents and Visitors,

The motto of Camden High School is "Commitment to Excellence." The faculty, staff, and students of our school take this commitment seriously in all phases of what we do. 

In the spring of 2014 we were recognized as the high school winner of the Palmetto's Finest award.  This honor was the result of persistence and perseverance  by our students, staff and community.

We encourage parents and community to show support to Camden High by attending school programs and extra-curricular events.  The Bulldog Calendar on the home page provides important dates.

Camden High is celebrating Teen Read Week!

This year's theme: "Turn Dreams Into Reality"

Why You Should Read This Book contest:
Click on the link and complete the book review survey.  Students who complete the book review survey will be entered into a drawing for a $25.00 Wal-Mart card.  
Book reviews will be displayed in the library and shared on the school FB page.
 Why You Should Read This Book is open through Wednesday, October 22nd.  The winner will be announced on Thursday, October 23rd.

Rave About Your Faves
Tweet the title of a favorite book to #bulldogsread. 
Students who participate are entered into drawings for Chick-Fil-A gift cards.

Destiny To Succeed
Use the DESTINY library catalog to locate books with any of these subjects: Success, Careers, Heroes, or Teenagers.  Email one of the titles to laura.horton@kcsdschools.net from your school gmail account.   One winner will be drawn each day through Wednesday, October 22nd.  They will receive McDonald’s gift cards. 
You must use your school gmail account to enter this contest.

Camden High continues to celebrate Teen Read Week this week.  This time is held each year to encourage the love of reading.  This year’s theme is “Turn Dreams Into Reality.”  There are several activities posted on the home page.  Submit a book review by Wednesday using the link posted on the eChalk page and have a chance to win a $25.00 Wal-Mart gift card.

Use the Destiny catalog to participate in DESTINY TO SUCCESS to have chances to win McDonalds gift cards. 

Any student who signed up for the blood drive and is 16 years old must return their parental consent by Friday, Oct. 24.

There will be a Key Club meeting today in Coach Speaks' room after school.  We will discuss a fund raiser with the Student Council and other projects.  Please bring your twenty dollar dues so that Coach Speaks can send it to Key Club International.

Any student interested in trying out for boys varsity or JV basketball needs to have a physical on file with the athletic department.  Tryouts will begin on Nov. 3.  See Coach McKie if you need a physical form.

The Spirit Club will meet today in the library.

The Gospel Choir will meet on Wednesday.

The Talent Show will be performed on Wednesday.  There will be singing, dancing, rapping, playing instruments.  Tickets will be sold at the door for $5.00.

Ashley Tri Hi Y will have a meeting on Thursday at 3:15 in Room  212.  All members should attend.

Good Luck to Girls Tennis as it plays its final regular season match today against Richland Northeast.  Girls Tennis travels to Belton-Honea-Path on Thursday for the first round of the playoffs.

Varsity Volleyball travels to Irmo today for its final regular season match.  The first round of the playoffs will be played at home on Thursday against Palmetto High School.

The first winner of the school year is Student Council for its leadership
during the United Way Rivalry Week campaign. 
The groups who are selected as Top Dogs receive an ice cream party at their next meeting.
