Dear Parents and Visitors,

The motto of Camden High School is "Commitment to Excellence." The faculty, staff, and students of our school take this commitment seriously in all phases of what we do. 

In the spring of 2014 we were recognized as the high school winner of the Palmetto's Finest award.  This honor was the result of persistence and perseverance  by our students, staff and community.

We encourage parents and community to show support to Camden High by attending school programs and extra-curricular events.  The Bulldog Calendar on the home page provides important dates.

Announcements for
Friday, September 19, 2014

Congratulations to the jv & varsity volleyball teams for defeating Dreher last night in straight sets. The Lady Dogs are undefeated so far in region play. Good luck to the varsity at Eastside Tournament tomorrow !

Any student who will be inducted into National Honor Society on Monday should go by the bulletin board outside Mrs. Rundlett's room today for important information.

 Attention students who are attending Upward Bound on Saturday:
The bus will pick you up at CHS at 7:30am.
Please be here and ready to go with materials you need for the day.

The  CHS Band will be having Sonic Night on Wed September 24 from 5-8pm..
Please come join them at Sonic and support the Band!

Talent Show auditions will be held on Tuesday the 23rd and Wednesday the 24th. 
Sign up sheets are posted on the Theatre Board outside of Ms. Moody's room.

At Friday night's football game the National Guard will sponsor "Military Appreciation Night."  The CHS Spirit Club has chosen USA Night as its theme for the night and encourages all fans to join the tribute by wearing patriotic colors to the game.

Club Announcements

Ashley-Tri-Hi-Y will have its first meeting on September the 25th at 3:15 in room 212.  Any returning member or anyone wishing to join, should go by and pick up an application from Mrs. Young-Evans.


All 10th, 11th and 12th grade students whose GPA is at least a 3.3 and would like to join Beta Club, please pick up permission form on the 200 hall across from Ms. Zeccola's door. For all returning members, you must be in good standing to join. For all new members, you can join only if you have never been asked to join while in high school. Just to be clear, all returning Beta Club members have to pick up permission form and pay dues. This is due at 1st or 2nd lunch today and next week.

Any young lady in grades 10-12 interested in becoming a member of the Bulldog Pearls should pick up an application packet from Mrs. McCray, Mrs. Young-Evans, or 1st Sgt. Anthony.  Application packets must be returned by Friday, Sept. 19, 2014.

The PSAT will be offered at Camden High School on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. Cost is only $15. 9th and 11th Graders can sign up by paying Mrs. Fox in the guidance office. Deadline is October 3rd.

Any 9th or 11th Grader who is planning to attend a four year college or university right after high school should take the PSAT.  Benefits for taking the SAT include:
Prepares students for the SAT
Boosts your confidence
Reduces your test anxiety
Assesses your verbal, math, and writing skills
Identifies skills for improvement
Provides entry into scholarship programs


Attention any student who has taken a class on SC Virtual School: 
Please stop by Mrs. Dew's office to make sure that your class has been
added to your transcript.

This recognition is given to a student group who has made important contributions
to the success of Camden High.
The first winner of the school year is Student Council for its leadership
during the United Way Rivalry Week campaign. 
The groups who are selected as Top Dogs receive an ice cream party at their next meeting.
